General Ledger Setup – Types

The Types tab in the General Ledger Setup module lists the standard account types that are available for use. These include the Balance Sheet accounts of Assets, Liabilities, and Equity, as well as the Profit and Loss accounts of Revenue, Cost of Sales, Expenses, Other Revenue, and Other Expenses.

The Sort order is used to set the order of accounts in a variety of standard reports, including the Balance Sheets and Profit and Loss reports. In general, the Sort order values should not be modified.
