Google Maps

Moveware is integrated with Google Maps to map job locations and sales appointments.  The Plot Locations icon is available in the Jobs Details screen, and in the Appointment Diary.  When clicked, Google Maps displays in your default web browser.

Google Maps on the Jobs Details

  1. Click the Plot Locations  button to the right of the Origin Postcode

2. A popup appears, giving you location options:

3. Select the route you wish to map and click Continue.

4. Google Maps will open in your default browser, displaying the directions.

Google Maps on the Appointment Diary

  1. Click the F3 button or double click the “Survey” field in Jobs Details to view the Appointment Diary.
  2. Select the required date range and filter the records if required.
  3. Click the Plot Locations  button at the top of the diary window. Google Maps is opened in a new page in your default browser.
  4. The locations of appointments are colour-coded by Sales Representative. To view the details of an appointment, click on the coloured icon. The date, time and a link to the Street View are displayed.
  5. Your branch address is shown as a home icon  in Google Maps. The map view may be centred on an address using the Centre  buttons. The magnification of the map can be changed and centred on a location using the Zoom In and Zoom Out buttons. To show a radius circle around your branch address, enter the size of the radius and click the Show Circle  button at the top of the Locations or Directions tabs.
  6. Click the Directions tab at the top left of the page to calculate directions between up to eight locations. The route of the directions is determined by the order number next to each location.
  7. Select the Sales Representative to display directions for by clicking the Show Only  button next to the representative.
  8. Change the order of the locations if required and click the Get Directions button.

To use Google Maps the Enable Google Maps Functionality system parameter should be set to Y. An additional option available is to enable the System Parameter “Only use the postcode when sending addresses to Google Maps”.
