Event Log

What is the Event Log?

Moveware has an inbuilt event logging system that keeps track of many events that occur during the usage of Moveware. Events such as a user logging on, removal details being changed, and customers being invoiced are all logged and can be viewed by system administrators.

The Event Log allows operations to be transparent to all users and assists in the resolution of any disputes that may arise between departments or in identifying any keying errors that can lead to a job not being performed adequately. For example, management can view the events of a particular Removal and ensure that all changes were approved and correctly entered.

You can access the Event log here: Administration > System Setup > Event Log.

How to View the Event Log

Only the System Administrator can view the entire Event Log; however, events relating to a particular task or record can be viewed by all Users. In many standard modules such as Jobs Management, Debtor Management and Invoicing there is an icon [] that will load the Event Log for the currently selected Record. Users can view the event log but are not able to modify or delete it.
