Manage the Waybill Status

Once a Waybill is created the status is set to N (new). The details of the Waybill are entered and an inventory can be added, and storage consignments adjusted if required.  Once all details of a Waybill are confirmed, it is dispatched and the status is set to U (updated). Updating will save the Waybill information for each Job entered, update inventory movements and agent reciprocity files.

Note: If the Use Ready for Shipment Status system parameter is set to Y, the shipment status of Jobs may be set to R (ready for shipment). When a Waybill is dispatched, the shipment status of removals on the Waybill is automatically updated to S (shipped).

The Waybill may also be set to status Z (Completed) or C (Cancelled).

To update a Waybill:

  1. Navigate to the Search tab of the Waybills module and select the required Waybill. See Searching for Waybills. Alternative, go to a Job using the Waybill, and go to the Waybills tab of the Job.
  2. Confirm that the Waybill information is correct, including the Jobs using the Waybill if it’s a consolidated shipment.
  3. Select the Dispatch checkbox. In the Dispatch Waybill popup window click Yes to confirm the dispatching.
  4. The status of the Waybill is updated from N (New) to U (Updated) and a Dispatch date is set.
