Amend Pay or Pay Details

Adjustments to the details of an employee’s pay can only be made prior to updating payments; otherwise, the payment must be reversed.

In addition, pays cannot be reversed if they have been uploaded to the bank using the electronic banking screen without also reversing the Electronic Banking Journal in General Ledger > Journals.


How to Amend Pay

  1. In the Employee Management module, select the desired Employee and navigate to the Pays tab.
  2. In order to change the Pay From or Pay To date, type over the existing dates. The comment can also be overwritten in this manner.
  3. If the pay has already been posted, it will have to be reversed. To reverse a pay, select it and click the Reverse Updated Pay Records button . The journal entry for the pay can also be un-posted from the General Ledger.
  4. Once the pay details have been updated, save the timesheet and run a Payroll Update.

How to Amend Pay Details

  1. In the Employee Management module select the desired Employee and navigate to the Pays tab.
  2. In order to change the hours or amounts for various allowances or deductions, type over the existing data in the timesheet details.
  3. You can manually add or delete pay lines by using the Add or Delete buttons.
  4. To reverse a pay, select it and click the Reverse Updated Pay Records button . The journal entry for the pay can also be un-posted from the General Ledger.
  5. Once the pay details have been updated, save the timesheet and run a Payroll Update.
