Branch Management – Security

Many features in Moveware are password protected to provide an extra layer of security.  Branch Security enables a password to be required for different situations.  These passwords are set at the branch level, so you can have different passwords for each branch.

Branch Security can be accessed here: Administration > Moveware Setup > Branches > Security


How to Generate a Custom Password

  1. Select the desired Branch. 
  2. Click on Security tab.
  3. Enter the password manually or use the key icon [] beside each field to auto-generate one.  
  4. Click Save.

Going forward, users will need this password to accomplish the specified process.  


Field Overview

Change Removal StatusEnter the password required to change a Job’s Status from Won to Lost or Cancelled.
Change Removal to No Charge Enter the password required to change a Job to be “No Charge” (i.e. free or not requiring an invoice).
Change Employee Status Enter the password required to change an Employee’s Status in Employee Management > Details.
Change Insurance Policy ValueEnter the password required to change the Insured Value on Jobs.
Debtor controlEnter the password required for
– Exporting credit card payments to a bank from the bank deposit screen
– Displaying customer credit card details on the Receipting screen
– Posting an invoice when the Total Foreign Exchange Variation Loss exceeds the set limit
Un-Cancel Cost OptionEnter the password required to Un-cancel a Cost Option in a Job.

How to Set a Default Branch E-mail

Adding a Branch and clicking the Set button allows you to store SMTP authentication details specific to a branch. This authentication allows for the creation of automatic emails and emailing of scheduled reports.
