Calendar Management

Moveware has the ability to track special dates that are of importance to a company or a branch, such as national and state public holidays, through the Calendar Management tool.

The main purpose of tracking these dates in Moveware is so that the system can alert users in the event that they accidentally schedule work on a holiday. 

The Calendar Management window can be accessed through the main menu by navigating to Administration > Company Setup > Calendar.


How to Record an Important Date 

  1. Click ‘Add’
  2. Select the Type of Holiday 
  3. Enter the date of the holiday 
  4. Select the branch affected by the holiday (leave blank for all) 
  5. Enter a short description of the holiday (this is the message that the alert will display)

Whenever a date is added to a move file, the system checks this date against the Calendar. If an entry is found for that date, the user is notified of that day’s calendar description to verify the date is not being added in error.
