Container Register

Shipping containers involved in international Jobs can be viewed and managed in the Container Register window.  The window displays a list of containers currently assigned to Waybills.  If there is more than one container assigned to a Waybill, a separate line is displayed for each container.  The details displayed are filled in from the Waybill Details tab.

The Container Register contains several Key Action dates at the right of the window.  These are Date of Departure, Date of Arrival, Slot Date, Date of Unload and Date of Dehire.  For information on how to set up Key Actions, please view the Bond Register.  The dates are automatically updated from the Waybill Details for each corresponding action.  Editing and viewing the details of container transport is completed from the Container Movements window in the Operations module.  Container movements may be manually added and printed from the window, as described below.

To view the container register:

  1. Navigate to International > Container Register in the main menu.
  2. The list of Containers displayed can be filtered by the key action dates. Check boxes next to each action at the top of the window can be used to display Jobs that have a date assigned, or no date assigned. Clicking in the upper checkbox displays Jobs that have a date for this Key Action. Clicking in the lower checkbox displays items where the Key Action has not been given a date.

To manually create container movements:

  1. In the Container Register window, double click the required record. The Details tab of the Waybills module is displayed.
  2. Enter the details of slot, unload or dehire dates.
  3. Click the Save button at the top of the window.
  4. Click Exit.
