Record Calls, Emails and Attach Files


It is important that all communication is recorded within Moveware – this is extremely helpful for anyone who is temporarily filling in for someone, or for a staff member who would like to review the status of a job. If communication has been consistently recorded, that person should be able to gather good insights into the status of the job based on the recorded communication.    


How to Record a Call You Just Received

  1. Navigate to the Jobs Management module. 
  2. Select the required Job and navigate to the Diary tab. 
  3. Click the Quick Add   icon. 
  4. Enter a summary of the contact in the Comment field and the details of the client contact. 
  5. Click Add

Contact Interactions Hidden by Default

By default, the contact box is always unchecked to keep the Diary from getting overly cluttered with contact actions. To view them, simply check the Contact box. You can also get a quick summary of all contact actions by navigating to the contact tab  

How to Send an Email

You can also send an e-mail directly from Moveware, without being prompted via a task.  

To do this:

  1. Select the e-mail icon.  
  2. Enter the details. See Send Email in Moveware for help.
  3. Once your e-mail is sent, this contact will be recorded. You can use this functionality wherever you see the e-mail icon within Moveware to quickly send an e-mail. For example, this icon appears on the Details Screen, the Contact tab, and the Window menu.  

How to Add Attachments: 

You can quickly add attachments to a job by: 

  1. Select the paperclip  (Attachment) icon.  
  2. Select the file.  
  3. Click OK.

Your attachment is added to the job. This not only adds the attachment to the job folder but leaves a very visible trace of the file in the Job Diary.
