Inventory Management – Crates

The Crates type of the Inventory Management module allows for a company to define all the types of Crates typically used during standard operation.


Overview of Fields

A dropdown box to select the Inventory type. Click on the down arrow next to the type field and select Crate.
Crate TypeThe Crate code or name.
DescriptionA brief description of the Crate.
Make





The make of the Crate.
SupplierThe Supplier of the Crate.
Owned ByThe Owner of the Crate.
Cost TypeN/A
Size The physical dimensions of the Crate.
Volume (or Weight) The volume or weight of the Crate. For systems that display weights, there is a toggle next to the field to view Volume.
StatusActive or Inactive.
BranchThe branch that the Crate type belongs to.
Cost CentreThe Cost Centre to apply to the Crate, if applicable.
G/L CodeThe G/L Code to apply to the Crate, if applicable.
Date AcquiredThe date the Crate type was purchased.
Costing ItemN/A – set to N.
TemplateN/A – set to N.
HireN/A – set to N.
Default Calc TypeDouble click to choose how the rate is calculated e.g. Hourly, Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Unit
DefaultN/A
Cost RateThe Cost Rate for the Crate.
Sell RateThe Sell Rate for the Crate. If you have different Sell Rates for different Customers, use the Charge Rates tab to add multiple rates.
Cost Unit Price
Sell Unit Price
Display BranchesLeave blank if all branches should see this Crate in their list. Double click and choose specific branches who should be able to use this Crate.
Display Cost CentresLeave blank if the Crate should be available for Jobs of all Cost Centres. Double click and choose specific Cost Centres if it should only be available for a limited type of Job(s).
