Manage Container Movements

Shipping containers involved in international removals can be viewed an managed in the Container Register window. The window displays a list of containers currently assigned to Waybills in Moveware. If there is more than one container assigned to a Waybill, a separate line is displayed for each container. The details displayed are filled in from the Waybill Details tab.

The Container Register contains several key action dates at the right of the window. These are Date of Departure, Date of Arrival, Date Slot, Date of Unload and Date of Dehire. The dates are automatically updated from the Waybill Details for each corresponding action. Editing and viewing the details of container transport is completed from the Container Movements window in the Operations module. Container movements may be manually added and printed from the window, as described below.

To view the container register:

1.Navigate to International > Container Register in the main menu.

2.The list of Containers displayed can be filtered by the key action dates. Check boxes next to each Action at the top of the window can be used to display consignments that have had these actions either complete or incomplete.

3.Click in the upper checkbox to display items where the action has been completed.

4.Click in the lower checkbox to display items where the action has not been completed.

To manually create container movements:

 1.In the Container Register window, double click the required record. The Details tab of the Waybills module is displayed.

2.Enter the details of slot, unload or dehire dates.

3.Click the Save button at the top of the window.

4.Click Exit.

To print the container register:

1.Navigate to International > Container Register in the main menu.

2.Click the Print  button at the top of the Container Register window. Select the number of copies and the required export format (printed or PDF).

3.Click the Print or PDF button.
