What are system parameters in Moveware?

The System Parameters module is used to set up the parameters and defaults that define the way Moveware operates. This high degree of customization allows Moveware to meet a variety of diverse business needs and ensures Moveware is a perfect fit for your company.

The System Parameters module should only be viewed and edited by Moveware Administrators. It is important to keep in mind that any change on this screen can have a great impact on Moveware’s overall functionality. Prior to editing any System Parameters, it is critical to ensure that there is a full understanding of how the System Parameter in question works, and what it affects in the Moveware system.

How to Access the System Parameter Module

• Navigate to Administration > System Setup > System Parameters > Codes.

The Codes tab contains a centralized list of all available System Parameters for Moveware.

Generally, system parameters react to a Y or N flag, but this can be more complex as more complex system parameters are employed. The Description field can provide some guidance and assistance to better understand how a System Parameter functions, and to help you find a System Parameter you are looking for – however, many System Parameters can be quite complex, so we encourage you to contact your Moveware System Administrator for any areas of uncertainty.

How to Modify a System Parameter

1. Navigate to: Administration > System Setup > System Parameters > Codes.
2. Locate the desired System Parameter you would like to modify.
3. Confirm that you understand how it functions by: reviewing the Tool Tip, the Description, the Help field, and verifying with Moveware Support.
4. Once you are satisfied you fully understand the System Parameter, adjust the value in the Value field accordingly.
