Welcome Screen

The Welcome screen can be configured to pop-up on each user’s screen the first time they log in to Moveware each day.  It is handy for providing Moveware reminders/information or company updates to staff. 

Clicking on “Welcome Screen” in the Window menu will open this screen manually.

Setting up a Welcome Message

The message that displays on the welcome screen is set up in the News & Information screen inside Administration > Moveware Setup.

Click Add in the Smart Panel on the right side of the screen or highlight an existing message and hit Copy to copy an existing message as a starting point.

The fields the impact the welcome message are as follows:

Status: Toggle to Active
Type: Toggle to Welcome
Start Date: The date the Welcome message should begin to display.
End Date: The date the Welcome message should stop displaying.
Description: A description for your personal reference.
Branches: Leave blank if the message is for all branches.  Double click and choose any branch(es) to only have the popup display for those.

All of the other fields in News & Information are not relevant for the Welcome screen.


Enter the Welcome message itself on the bottom-right side of the screen. 

Make use of the editor panel above the message box to change text colour, add hyperlinks, embed images, etc.

Click Save.

For Welcome messages to display, the System Parameter “Use Welcome Screen” must be given a Value of Y.
