How to Process an Initial Inquiry

An initial inquiry via phone, email, or online is used to gather as many preliminary details from the customer as possible and determine requirements.  Online inquires can be captured in Moveware using one of the following options:

  • Embedding the MoveClient quote request form onto your company’s website
  • Using MoveClient to connect to a quote request form already set up on your company’s website
  • Interfacing with a Leads provider

Using any of the above methods will automatically create a new Job in Moveware each time a new lead is received.  If collecting the information by email or phone, a new Job must be entered in Moveware.  To record an initial inquiry, see Adding a Job in Quick Entry or Creating a Job.  The status should be set to E (Entry) if a survey date has not yet been agreed.  If a survey date has been established, the status should be I (Inspection).
