Change User Defaults

This option allows a user to change their own default settings as well as personal information. A wide variety of different user information and default settings can be changed from this window.


Information that can be changed includes:

User Information

  • Role
  • Department
  • Direct Line (phone number)
  • Mobile (phone number)
  • Email address
  • Shared file path: the default path where all attachments and directories are saved on your server
  • PDA Path (no longer in use)
  • Default Printer
  • Default Docket Printer
  • Invoice Printer
  • Labels Printer
  • Start up: Double click and choose a screen that you would like to open automatically when Moveware starts
  • Send Mail Using Outlook: Useful for if you’re at a computer where you don’t have your Outlook installed. Set to N and you can email through Moveware.

Default Settings

  • Status: When creating a new Job, the Status field will default to the Status set here.
  • Type: When creating a new Job, the Type field will default to the Type set here.
  • Country Code: When creating a new Job, it will default the Origin and Destination code.
  • State: When creating a new Job, it will default the Origin and Destination State.
  • Cash Sale Account
  • Interface Language: If your system is set to display in multiple languages, set the default language here.
  • Default Units: Enter your preferred unit of volume measure (Meters, CuFt).
  • Screen Resolution: Ensure this is set to the same resolution of your computer monitor.  This is useful for when you use a different monitor with a different resolution than your regular monitor.
  • Load Quick Launch: Toggle to No to prevent the Quick Menu from opening when Moveware starts.
  • Auto Download Attachments: If set to Y, the “Download Attachments” and “Byspass Selection Popup” checkboxes on the Outlook Inbox screen will be checked by default. 

If set to A, only the Download Attachments checkbox will be checked by default. The Bypass Selection Popop checkbox will be unchecked.
