Moveware Function Keys

The Moveware Function Keys can be used anywhere within the application.  The Function Keys are the “F1” through “F12” keys on your computer’s keyboard.  The keys provide quick access to some useful areas within Moveware or allow for quick input into date and lookup fields. Details of each key and its function are show below:

F2Task DiaryProvides access to a personal task list outlining any incomplete tasks. See the Task Diary.
F3Appointment DiaryLoads a daily view of Appointment Diary. This is the same view that is used for Allocating a Survey to a Sales Representative.
F4Weekly DiaryLoads a Weekly View of the Appointment Diary. The Appointment Diary shows Inspections/Surveys as well as other appointments such as meetings. See the Appointment Diary.
F5Address BookProvides access to the Moveware Address Book. The address book shows E-mail addresses, phone and fax numbers for a variety of sources including Customers, Suppliers, Agents and Employees. A user can use this function to generate an email via Microsoft Outlook to any of the selected addresses. This address book is available when Sending an Email.
F6Daily DiaryLoads a Quick View of the Daily Diary module allowing the user to check operational availability.
F7Send MessageSend a Quick Internal Message to another Moveware User.

To send a message, click the book icon and select a Moveware user. Enter a Subject and Message, and click Send. The message will pop up on the user’s screen in Moveware as an Alert.
F8LookupSelecting F8 on any lookup (blue field) will take the user to the codes that are applicable for the field. Note: Double clicking a lookup field does the same thing.
F9Enter Today's DateThis function will automatically put “Today’s Date” in the selected field.
F10Date Plus 1 DayWill add one day to the currently entered Date.
F11Date Minus 1 DayWill subtract one day from the currently entered Date.
F12Jobs ManagementOpens a new Jobs window on top of your current window. This function is useful if the user is in the middle of entering a Job and doesn’t want to lose the current record. The user can use F12 to load a second version of Jobs Management, access the required information, and then return back to their previous task in the main Jobs window.
Shift + F12Baggage ManagementOpens a new Baggage window on top of your current window. This function is useful if the user is in the middle of entering a Baggage record and doesn’t want to lose the current record. The user can use Shift + F12 to load a second version of Baggage Management, access the required information, and then return back to their previous task in the main Baggage window
