Modify an Action in the Operations Diary

In the event that a particular action cannot be completed, Moveware allows for the action to be moved forward by one or more days.  Actions that are partially completed can also be moved to another day and allocated additional resources.  Any action can simply be moved using the Daily Diary, which is useful for Non-Operational actions and minor tasks such as Carton Pickups.

To move an action forward by one day:

  1. Navigate to the Daily/Operational Diary and locate the required action.
  2. Select the incomplete action and click the Move  button.
  3. Click Yes in the Move Task window to confirm moving the action.
  4. Click Yes or No to clear the Labour and Vehicle resources allocated to the action.

The action is moved to the next day.  If Yes was selected at step four, the resources must be reallocated.

To move an action forward by more than one day:

  1. Navigate to the Daily/Operational Diary and locate the required action.
  2. Select the action and navigate to the Diary tab.
  3. Double click the Date field of the incomplete action.
  4. Select the new date and click OK.
  5. Click the Save button at the top left of the diary window.

To allocate a partially completed action:

  1. Navigate to the Daily/Operational Diary and locate the required action.
  2. Select the incomplete action and navigate to the Diary tab.
  3. Select the specific action and click the Copy button.
  4. Double click the date field of the new action.
  5. Select the new date and click OK.
  6. Add a note in the Comment field of the action to indicate that it is to finalize a job.
  7. Allocate resources to the action if required.
  8. Click the Save button at the top left of the diary window.
