Set a Cost Option as No Charge

Setting a cost option as “No Charge” is helpful in the rare case where you want to keep a record of a service provided but where no charge is needed. In a different and more unusual scenario, it may be necessary to set the entire job as no charge, which is also possible within Moveware.


How to Set a Cost  Option as No Charge

  1. Select the cost option from the list on the Costing Screen 
  2. Click on the “Set Cost Option as Non Invoiceable” icon [] from the Option toolbar.
  3. The column for “Invoice” will change from N to F, for free. This cost option will not be charged.

How to Set a Job as No Charge

  1. Click on the Job Details Tab. 
  2. Under the Bill To section, change the Pay Method to NC.
  3. Click Save on the Moveware Smart Panel at the top of the screen.
  4. The status changes from N to F.

Security Constraints

Is important to note that the No Charge feature in both of these scenarios can be controlled from security and is based on user or group specific privileges.
