The Moveware “Job”

Job records – or simply “jobs,” as we will refer to them moving forward – are used in Moveware to record comprehensive information about individual jobs your company is working on. This information is essential to the operation of Moveware, and it is used throughout the system to perform key functions.

A job stores important information such as: Client and Customer details, Load and Delivery addresses, key dates, packing materials, charges, costs, contact information, and more.

Moveware requires that the information in a Job is entered into the system once only. New jobs are allocated a unique job number by the system. The job information is used to process and track a job beginning with a sales enquiry and generating a quote. The data is then used to plan daily operations and to generate job dockets and invoices.

Jobs created in Moveware may be at any state of the Job Life Cycle. The basic details of a job such as diary actions and costs are automatically populated when using the Job Type Creator. Jobs may also be imported from other Moveware applications such as MoveSurveyMobi, Move Partner, etc.

Jobs can be entered into Moveware from several modules in the system, most commonly the Jobs Management module, other modules include Quick Entry and Baggage. The Jobs module contains the following tabs for managing Jobs: Search, Details, DiaryContactCosting, Invoicing, Inventory, Resources, Exports, Imports, Waybill, Storage, Review and Claim
